There are two types of Banner that you may wish to consider, namely:

Home Page Banner - this is the main graphic shown on the Home Page that usually conveys what products or services your Webshop sells. Sometimes these can be a little abstract or thought provoking in order to be more memorable to the viewer.

Banner Advert - this tends to be a smaller graphic that draws attention to a specific product or service, that may have some time based offer attached to it, eg: 10% discount etc.
